Perfect temps, thinner crowds, and beautiful fall sunsets are several reasons that make fall the perfect time to visit. As the season turns from summer to fall, activities around the Emerald Coast definitely don’t slow down! From seafood festivals, concerts in the park, wine festivals, and more - there is something for everyone.

For the foodie - we recommend the Destin Seafood Festival: 

Just 2.6 miles (a six-minute drive) from our location, the Destin Harbor sets an amazing backdrop for The Destin Seafood Festival. The festival is a local favorite and one of the biggest fall events in the area. It’s a three-day festival that takes place on the Destin Harbor in October. Did you know that this event kicks off the Destin Fishing Rodeo? 

Many local restaurants participate with fresh-caught seafood and line over one mile of the Destin Harbor with their booths - there are so many delicious options! In addition to the incredible seafood, the festival features live entertainment, arts and crafts, fireworks, and more.

 For the wine lover - we recommend the Harvest Wine & Food Festival: 

The Harvest Wine & Food Festival is a short 40-minute drive to Cerulean Park in the WaterColor community on 30A.  Enjoy a beautiful four-day experience full of wine, food, and art vendors in different avenues including private, intimate dinners, a spirited outdoor festival, or a festive cocktail brunch. Rated as one of the premier wine and food festivals in the Southeast, Harvest provides patrons the opportunity to sip and savor some of the world’s finest wine and culinary selections. Tickets for Harvest Wine & Food Festival are on sale now.

Saturday’s Grand Tasting is the main event, in Cerulean Park, WaterColor, Fla. Explore tasting stations featuring wines from around the world, along with seafood, barbecue, and provisional stations manned by celebrity chefs from the best restaurants along the Gulf Coast.

For the music lover - we recommend the Mattie Kelly Festival of the Arts:

The Festival of the Arts is one of the Southeast’s premier art festivals showcases over 65 premier artists plus collaborative artists from the United States and Europe. Located only two red lights from our location, enjoy watching artists compete for $10,000 in cash awards representing 18 different mediums in an outdoor walking exhibit production.  Additional amenities include live music, a food bistro, a wine and beer garden, and an adult/student collaborative art exhibit.

This year’s event will be the 26th annual festival on October 30 and 31, 2021. Admission is $5 per adult, and children under 12 are free.
