This was my third time to stay at Gulfgate Destin and won’t be my last! The location is perfect. The condo sits right on the beach which I love! The unit was impeccably clean and beautifully decorated. The building and grounds are spotless. The staff are helpful and friendly. There are no negatives to this place!

We love staying at Destin Gulfgate. 2024 was our third time staying at Destin Gulfgate. We love the smaller size of the condo compared to others considering we have a toddler. The walks from the parking to the condo and the condo to the beach is much shorter compared to other condos we have stayed at. That means a lot when vacationing with a toddler.

This property was fantastic and a great getaway for my family. It had everything we needed and more.

This is our second year coming to Destin Gulfgate and we absolutely love it. It is quiet, relaxing and close to everything. The beach is beautiful and has never been crowded when we have been there. The pool is great. We plan on coming back every year.

Our stay in the room was wonderful.
However on the beach was not. The beach chair broke on the beach and I was stabbed in the left back thigh by a staple that holds the chair canvas to the frame. I was bleeding and had to seek medical attention. I am doing better now, but that was really a scary situation, not knowing whether it would get infected or not since it was rusted. I called the guy who takes care of the chairs and documented it and he also contacted the front desk. We will definitely be back next year, we loved our room and always do enjoy staying at Destin Gulfgate!

The unit was phenomenal, clean, and well appointed. You can’t beat the location both in terms of walking mere steps to the beach or down the block to The Back Porch. Mainstays like HarryT’s, AJ’s, and all the harbor rentals are less than 2 miles away.

The elevators were fast and frequent and the luggage carts were numerous and helpful. Speaking of helpful, Bailey & Christian were so awesome in getting us set up with the included chairs and umbrella at the beach, as well as adding a few more to our rental.

The pool is great for kids of all ages with its walk-in depths, gradually deepening to 5’+.

Absolutely cannot wait to stay here again!

This is I believe our 4th year staying at Destin Gulfgate. We love it so much, we refuse to stay anywhere else! You can't beat the location, the private beach, the complimentary beach chairs, the amazing rooms and so much more!!

Wonderful two-week vacation at Destin Gulfgate. Staff went above and beyond to make stay enjoyable. Condo was clean, modern and well supplied with all we needed to live very comfortably during our stay.

A friend and I wanted to escape the dreary Midwest during the winter and had a perfect stay at Gulfgate. The unit was beautiful, very clean and well equipped. The staff is the best! They are always helpful and pleasant! I’ve been staying there for nearly 30 years and it keeps getting better.

We have stayed here multiple times and have never been disappointed. Very convenient to everything, excellent accommodations.

This was my families first trip to Destin and we could not have picked a better place to stay. The location was wonderful and the place was even nicer than the pictures. The balcony is amazing and you have a wonderful view and plenty of places to sit. My kids loved the pool and the property itself was so peaceful and quiet which I really enjoyed. Close to all amenities in town too. We would definitely stay here again! I look forward to coming back!!!

Beautiful view with full wall to wall windows and balcony access from both living and Bedroom. Well equipped. Very clean. All furniture and furnishings looked virtually new. Wall paint and floors were spotless. Bed was comfortable. Separate ice machine in the room that provided plenty for our use and the ice chest too. Only complaints are that the ironing board was broken and would not stand up and the bedroom tv remote would not work more than 6 feet from the tv -even though we changed the batteries - so could not operate it from bed. Water on this beach is crystal clear - just GORGEOUS!!!! I would have sworn it was a swimming pool... just incredible. And seaweed free. Much better than down the road a few miles at Orange Beach/Gulf Shores on previous trips. Free chairs and umbrella is set up close to the water for you each morning and held with your name attached. Free in the shade parking spot under building with super easy access to both elevator and the beach from your spot. I would suggest the boardwalk go out a little further would be nice, so the trek to the water is less of a workout, but hard to find anything that wasn't great with this unit!

Room was perfect! We had 6 guests and plenty of room. Beds were comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. The best part was having laundry in the unit. The grounds were clean and well kept. Enjoyed the beach and complimentary beach service. Our smaller kids loved the pool and spent most of their time there. We would for sure stay again if we go back to Destin!

This was our first stay at Gulfgate and we found the staff were courteous and helpful. The view from our unit was beautiful and we enjoyed time on the balcony as well as walking on the beach. The condo was nicely decorated and the location was ideal for our visit.

We love this small property. It's quiet, very well maintained with great onsite management. Our condo was spotless...honestly have never checked into a unit as clean as this one was. We love the fact we could walk to the Back Porch for dinner every night.

Grab bars need to be added to tub shower in second bedroom. Tub is high and hard to enter and exit without something to hold.

As expected, beautiful place and beautiful unit. Sadly when we checked in we were told our dishwasher wasn't working and that they put in a ticket. That's the last we heard about it and it was never fixed. I inquired again and they repeatedly told me they knew it wasn't working, but that is all I got. No ETA on when it would be fixed. So I spent more time doing dishes than I would have liked, but didn't hinder our trip overall!

We've been coming to Gulfgate for years. The unit we stay in is completely updated and beautiful. The property is always clean and check in check out is a breeze. Will return when we come back to Destin

it was awesome! won’t stay next year! when we went to make our next year reservation we were told it was going to be doubled the amount we paid in the past. we come every year with family and friends none of us will stay there again.

We loved the condo! Everything was nice and comfortable. The beach was clean. Very quiet. Shout out to Emily at front desk for all her help!

It took me literally 7 weeks of research to find exactly what I needed. I wanted a large balcony to have breakfast and this one is 30 feet long. I wanted on the beach, this is on your own private beach with 2 chairs that have your name on them everyday, for free. also private, NO ONE CAN COME on your beach but the others staying there. I wanted comfort The condo itself is a 2 bedroom,(beds are the most comfortable)fully equip home with the most stunning furnishings, with everything you need from the kitchen. even plastic pitchers to make margaritas in to bring downstairs. the garage yes the garage is a stunning view that your car gets the privilege of staying in safely. The view is something I cant even explain and the location is at a place that allows you to walk right next door to a place called the back porch which has excellent food and drink: best oysters I have ever had, and I've had a few. I can go on and on about this place and WILL be back.. just unreal

And the pool which is normally heated when we are there ( we come the same time every year), was not heated when my husband and son went to swim. However, the management turned the heater on so that we could actually enjoy poolside during our stay, which I have to say, we were down there every single day after the pool was heated. The only thing that we were concerned about is the staff at Gulfgate. In years past, the staff has always been welcoming and this year, we brought our daughter’s fiancé with us and he made a comment about the staff and we had to agree with him. The staff could really add “friendly” to there job description because the whole time we were there, there was only one staff person that showed themselves friendly. But other than that, we enjoyed our time there.

Great location, great view, great service. Photos don’t do it justice. Covered parking, kitchen, laundry, an ice maker ... on a private beach, with beach service! We’ll definitely be back.

The staff at the Gulfgate was amazing during the COVID-19 crisis. Communication was perfect.
